On Monday night, May 5th, in lieu of Dinner & Discussion; we invited everyone over to the Greathouse's for an end of the year bonfire. It was a great night of fellowship and a wonderful way to end the school year. Here are a few photos from the evening. We had sixteen students who stopped by for brats, chips, drinks, and ice cream. Oh, and of course s'mores and a little joust fighting.
The week of April 13 was a busy week in the life of the campus ministry. On Sunday, we had our Second Sunday which is our Late Night at Applebee's night. We had a great time reflecting on the weekend and sharing about the summer plans since we could not believe that the semester is winding down and this was the last Second Sunday for most of them. On Monday, the school hosted the Priority Registration at SMSU. Thus, we had an opportunity to meet some of the in-coming Freshman. On Monday night, we had our Dinner and Discussion. Za made a great meal and our discussion was based off of Sin & Grace and used the "Noah Movie" as a backdrop. On Tuesday morning, we had more in-coming Freshman on campus and hosted a table and introduced ourselves to some in-coming Freshman. There seems to be some fantastic students coming to campus. Then on Thursday morning, we had a bible study. We looked at Depression. We watched a Ted Talk & listened to a song from Imagine Dragons and discussed what depression does and how we may be able to help those struggling. Here are a few photos from the week:
