8:15 pm - Common Ground. This is a 45 minute ministry opportunity. It will be a time for us to check in with one another and see how the past week has gone and what is on the horizon for us. We will then have a lesson/discussion on "hopelessness" and how it effects us.
On Monday, we have 3 events.
5 pm - Bibles, Burgers, and Beverages. We will meet at the CRC and then head over to Applebee's for their $6.99 Burger Night. We will read the Gospel Lesson, have a prayer and discuss the passage while enjoying a meal. This is a "Go Dutch" outing.
7 pm - One Hope: Re-membering the Body of Christ "Book Club". One Hope is a rich ecumencial resource book that is designed to help Catholic and Lutheran communities mark the approaching 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
8 pm - NCAAM Basketball game. We will gather in the Fireside room and watch the Monday night game on ESPN. This week, it is #3 Kansas vs. #19 Iowa State. This "replaces" our MNF parties. This is simply a night to be together, watch a game, do homework and fellowship with one another and have a few snacks.
5 pm - Dinner and Discussion. We gather for a homemade meal and then we have a discussion. This week, we are going to finish up our lesson Forgiveness. With the Dinner and discussion, the evening is right at an hour. Yes, we have students who come to eat and "skip" out to get to class; that is fine.
Look for the events on Facebook and join. This helps us know how many to prepare for when food is involved.
